Terms of Service

Last updated: September 10, 2026

This page explains the rules for using ChatToday.com in plain language. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ChatToday.com ("ChatToday", "we", "us") governing your use of the ChatToday website, apps, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Who can use ChatToday

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By signing up, you confirm that you're 18 or older, that creating an account doesn't violate any law that applies to you, and that you haven't been previously banned from ChatToday for violating these Terms.

3. Your account

ChatToday doesn't use passwords. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or with your Google, Facebook, or Apple account. Either way, keeping that email inbox or third-party account secure is the main way you keep your ChatToday account secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, and you should let us know right away at support@chattoday.com if you think someone else has access to it.

You agree to keep your account information accurate, to use your own real photos and details on your profile, and to maintain only one account per person unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Authorized ChatToday staff may temporarily access your account, including signing in as you, solely to investigate a support request or a safety/moderation issue. Every instance is logged. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, bio, messages, and anything else you add to the Service ("your content"). By posting it, you give ChatToday a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and the people you interact with, for example, showing your profile photos to other members, or delivering a message you send to its recipient.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't upload or share anything you don't have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's rights.

5. Community guidelines

ChatToday is meant to be a space for genuine conversations. When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Post nudity, sexually explicit content, or content involving minors
  • Harass, threaten, bully, or impersonate anyone
  • Post content that's hateful, violent, or illegal where you live
  • Send spam, scams, or solicit money from other members
  • Create more than one account, or an account on someone else's behalf without permission
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated tools to access the Service
  • Misrepresent your age, identity, or the photos on your profile

We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or ban an account that violates these guidelines. See "Content review and enforcement" below, and our Community Guidelines for more detail on what we expect from members and how to report a problem.

6. Content review and enforcement

Photos and profile text are automatically reviewed before they become visible to other members. Most reviews finish in a moment; you can always preview your own pending photos while you wait. Content that doesn't meet our guidelines is rejected automatically, without needing to take your whole profile down.

Repeated or serious violations can lead to a warning, a temporary restriction, or a permanent ban, depending on severity, up to and including an immediate ban for serious violations like content involving minors, without prior notice. Enforcement decisions are made using a mix of automated systems and human review, and are final.

We also use Cloudflare's CSAM Scanning Tool to check every image served against hash lists of known child sexual abuse material (CSAM) maintained by organizations like the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). Any match is blocked from further delivery and reported to NCMEC and, where required, law enforcement.

7. Location and the "Nearby" feature

ChatToday uses your device's approximate location to power features like the "Nearby" badge and distance-based search. We never show your exact coordinates or address to anyone, member or not. See our Privacy Policy for details on how location data is collected and used.

8. Premium features and referrals

ChatToday offers optional Premium features (like extra photo slots, more daily bumps, and incognito mode). Premium time can be earned for free by referring friends, and may also be available as a paid subscription through the App Store or Google Play.

Where a paid subscription is offered, its title, duration, and price will be shown to you before you purchase. Paid subscriptions automatically renew for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your payment method will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited once you purchase a paid subscription.

Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by Apple or Google, not by ChatToday. To cancel or manage a subscription, go to your Apple ID account settings or Google Play subscriptions — ChatToday can't cancel it for you.

Referral rewards are intended for genuine invitations to real people. We may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through fake accounts, abuse, or violations of these Terms.

9. Interacting with other members

You're solely responsible for your interactions with other members, both on and off ChatToday, including if you choose to link a social or messaging account and continue a conversation elsewhere. We don't run background checks and can't guarantee the accuracy of what another member tells you about themselves. Please use good judgment, especially before sharing personal information or meeting someone in person.

You can block or report another member at any time from their profile or your conversation with them. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

10. Suspension, bans, and account deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if we're required to by law, or to protect the safety of our community. Where practical, we'll try to let you know why.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. You'll be signed out immediately and your profile disappears right away, but your account is kept for 7 days before it's permanently deleted. Sign back in during that window to cancel.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations, including around who you'll meet or how they'll behave.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChatToday won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or from the conduct of any other member, whether that conduct happens on the Service or after you've moved a conversation elsewhere.

13. App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded ChatToday through Apple's App Store or Google Play, the following additional terms apply and are incorporated into this agreement:

  • This agreement is between you and ChatToday only, not Apple or Google.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
  • Apple isn't responsible for any product warranties for the app, whether express or implied by law. If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Apple isn't responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection law.
  • Apple isn't responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any claim that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm that you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you're not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, with the right to enforce it against you.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know, for example, by email or a notice in the app, before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
