Is this for dating, or friends too?
Both, and you choose. When you set up your profile you tell us whether you're open to dating, friendship, or both, and that's exactly who you'll be shown to and who you'll see. There's no separate app or mode to switch between: it's the same ChatToday, just tuned to what you're actually looking for.
How does matching work?
There's no swiping and no algorithm deciding who you see. When you sign up, we ask a few real questions: your gender, who you're open to, and a bit about yourself. From there you set your own filters, like location and what you're looking for, and browse real profiles that fit, sorted by who's actually active right now rather than by whatever keeps you scrolling the longest.
Is ChatToday free?
Creating a profile, browsing, and messaging are all free, and we won't put a paywall between you and actually talking to people. Premium is optional: it adds extras like more daily bumps, incognito browsing, and an online-only filter, and you can earn it for free by inviting friends who go on to create a profile.
Is my information safe?
Yes. We don't sell your information or use it for third-party advertising. Every profile and photo is checked by moderation before it goes live, new conversations are automatically screened early on, and reporting tools are always there if something slips through. Can I take the conversation elsewhere?
Yes. You can add your Instagram, Snapchat, Telegram, Discord, TikTok, or X (Twitter) to your profile so people can find you there from the start, or just keep chatting here and swap details with someone once you've connected. There's no obligation to stay on ChatToday, whichever way you go.
